Terms of use

These Terms of use (hereinafter referred to as the Agreement) are an agreement between you and JSC Positive Technologies (hereinafter Positive Technologies) that governs your use of the addons.ptsecurity.com Extension directory and the information on extensions and other content contained therein.

Important: read this agreement carefully before using the Extension directory. Your use of the Extension directory in any way, including but not limited to viewing the Extension information and other content in the Directory) means that you agree with this Agreement in accordance with the provisions of Article 438 of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation. The Agreement takes effect when you first use the Extension directory or when you accept these Terms of use, whichever occurs first.

The Extension directory is available for use only if you agree to all of the terms set forth in this Agreement. If you do not agree with all of the terms, conditions, and restrictions in this Agreement, do not access or use the Extension directory, information on extensions, or other content.

Positive Technologies reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to change, add, and/or delete portions of this Agreement at any time without prior notice. The new version of these Terms of use comes into force at the moment of its posting in the Extension directory, unless otherwise provided by the new version of the Agreement. You agree to check the Agreement from time to time for changes. By continuing to use the Extension directory after changes have been made to the Agreement by Positive Technologies, you agree to such changes.

1. Terms and definitions

You are anyone who uses the Extension directory, including a Contributor. If your organization has authorized or otherwise permitted you to use the Extension directory on its behalf, "you" also includes your organization.

Extension information is information about the extension(s) published in the Extension directory, which may include its (their) description, screenshots of interfaces, links to third-party websites, and other information.

Extension directory is the web site hosted at addons.ptsecurity.com, including text, graphics, interface, photos, and other content, excluding the Extension information.

Contributor is a person or entity submitting information about their extension for publication in the Extension directory.

Extensions are plug-ins, extensions, add-ons, and other software used to work with the Positive Technologies software or enrich the functionality of Positive Technologies software, as well as text descriptions and instructions related to the Positive Technologies software.

2. Terms of use of the Extension directory

2.1. Exclusive rights to the Extension directory belong to Positive Technologies.

2.2. Exclusive rights to the Extension information in the Extension directory and to the extensions themselves belong to the Contributor or to Positive Technologies. This Agreement does not govern the terms of use of extensions.

2.3. Positive Technologies hereby grants you a simple (non-exclusive), limited, revocable, royalty-free license to use the Extension directory by remotely accessing it and viewing the Extension information and other content stored in the Extension directory, provided that you comply with all terms, conditions, and restrictions set forth in this Agreement.

3. Information about extensions and links to third-party websites

3.1. The Extension directory is used for the publishing of the Extension information and does not contain the extensions themselves.

3.2. Links to extensions or their download links leading to third-party websites are provided for information only and solely for your convenience. Positive Technologies is not responsible for the content of third-party websites or any links contained on third-party websites. Positive Technologies makes no declarations about third-party websites and the information contained therein, including but not limited to their security, suitability for use, absence of third-party rights violations, absence of malicious content, bugs, or the compatibility of such websites with Positive Technologies software. Mentions of third-party products (including extensions) and services is for informational purposes only and does not constitute an endorsement or recommendation by Positive Technologies.

3.3. Links to external resources are marked with

3.4. You acknowledge and accept that extensions constitute protected intellectual property that are protected by intellectual property laws. Use of extensions is governed by the terms of the end-user license agreement or terms of use of such extensions, which are hyperlinked to third-party websites; nothing in the Extension directory should be construed to alter such license agreements or terms of use.

3.5. Positive Technologies is not responsible for the Extension information and extensions owned by third parties.

4. Extension information publication rules

4.1. The Extension directory is used for publishing Extension information for Positive Technologies software. Positive Technologies allows the Contributor to post the Extension information in the Extension directory.

4.2. In order to publish the Extension Information, the Contributor will send a corresponding email request. If the Contributor is required to submit personal information in such a request, Positive Technologies will not publish such personal information in the Extension directory without the Contributor's consent.

4.3. By submitting a request to publish the Extension information, the Contributor grants to Positive Technologies a simple (non-exclusive) royalty-free license to use Extension information in reproduction, distribution, processing (modification), make it available to the public, and public display. The Contributor grants Positive Technologies the right to use the Extension information in the above ways for the duration of the Extension information publication (until the Extension information is removed upon receipt of a revocation request from the Contributor), effective worldwide.

4.4. The Contributor agrees not to send to Positive Technologies, as part of the Extension information, personal information of any people, confidential information, and/or any information the publication of which may violate applicable law and/or international law.

4.5. The Contributor guarantees and assures Positive Technologies that:

  • The Contributor is the rightsholder of the extension the information about which the Contributor wishes to publish in the Extension directory, and the publication of the Extension information will not violate any third-party rights, including intellectual property rights.
  • The extension, about which the information the Contributor wishes to publish in the Extension directory is free of viruses, bookmarks, and third-party software distributed under open (free) licenses that require source code disclosure and/or restrict commercial use and require that products created using such third-party software be distributed under the terms of those open (free) licenses.
  • The extension information does not contain personal data, confidential information, restricted information, or information prohibited for distribution by applicable law.

4.6. The Contributor accepts and agrees that he/she is solely responsible for the extension, the information of which is published at his/her request by Positive Technologies and undertakes to independently provide support, correct errors, make fixes, and perform other necessary actions throughout the life cycle of this extension.

4.7. The Contributor agrees to keep the Extension information in the Extension directory up to date. The Contributor may send Positive Technologies a request to change or delete its Extension information at any time.

4.8. If Positive Technologies suffers damages as a result of the Contributor breaching the warranties, representations, or obligations set forth in clauses 4.3–4.8 of the Agreement, the Contractor agrees to reimburse those damages in full.

4.9. Positive Technologies has the right, at its sole discretion, to hide or delete information about an extension at any time without notice.

5. Limitations of using the Extension directory

5.1. You are not allowed to:

  • Reproduce (copy), distribute, publish, make available to the public, publicly display, decompile, modify (change, amend) the Extension directory and/or any part thereof, including the Extension information and other content, create derivatives based on and/or using the Extension directory, unless otherwise expressly provided by other provisions of the Agreement.
  • Use the Extension directory in any way that violates applicable law and/or international law.

5.2. If Positive Technologies finds that you have violated the provisions of this Agreement, including paragraph 5.1, Positive Technologies may, at its sole discretion and without prior notice, terminate your access to the Extension directory and, if you are a Contributor, remove your Extension information and/or refuse to publish your Extension information in the future. You agree that Positive Technologies will not be liable to you or any third party for termination of your access to the Extension directory as a result of any violation of this Agreement.

6. Warranty waiver

6.1. The Extension directory and its contents (including the Extension information) are provided "as is". Positive Technologies makes no warranties or representations, including but not limited to warranties of safe, uninterrupted, error-free operation or operation in conjunction with any hardware, software, operating system, or data; warranties to meet your requirements or expectations; warranties as to the relevance, completeness, and quality of the information and materials in the Extension directory; warranties to correct errors; warranties against violation of third-party rights; and warranties against viruses, malicious components, and other flaws.

6.2. You are solely responsible for any damages that you may incur in connection with your use of the Extension directory, including damages to your computer system and damages related to data loss.

6.3. Positive Technologies is not liable for actions and/or omissions of third parties in connection with the use of the Extension directory. You are solely responsible for your use of the Extension directory, any related websites and pages, and any third-party websites. In case of any disagreement with Positive Technologies, your best and only course of action is to stop using the Extension directory and its content, as well as the Extension information.

7. Limitation of liability

7.1. Under no circumstances will Positive Technologies be liable for any damages resulting from (i) the downloading and use of any extensions from third-party websites, (ii) the use of the Extension directory and/or its content and the Extension information, (iii) the refusal of Positive Technologies to satisfy any request or demand of yours, even if Positive Technologies was informed in advance of the possibility of damages resulting from its actions and/or omission of action. If, notwithstanding any other terms of this Agreement, Positive Technologies will be liable to you for any damages in connection with your use of the Extension directory or its content, Positive Technologies liability will in no event exceed one thousand Russian rubles.

8. Final provisions

8.1. The trademarks, service marks, logos and other designs (collectively, the Trademarks) displayed in the Extension directory are the property of Positive Technologies, its licensors, and other third parties. All Trademarks stored in the Extension directory are for informational purposes only. You are not allowed to use these Trademarks without the prior written permission of their rightsholders.

8.2. Positive Technologies has the right, at its sole discretion, to change or delete the Extension directory at any time without notice. Positive Technologies will not be liable for the unavailability of the Extension directory and/or its content (in whole or in part) at any time and/or for any period of time.

8.3. This Agreement is governed by the law of the Russian Federation.

8.4. If you believe that your intellectual property rights have been violated by the publication of the Extension information by a third party, you undertake to notify Positive Technologies about it by email. Positive Technologies will contact the Contributor who submitted the Extension information and take steps to resolve the dispute.

8.5. This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between you and Positive Technologies with respect to your use of the Extension directory and its content. Positive Technologies failure to strictly enforce the provisions of the Agreement will not be construed as a waiver by Positive Technologies of any of the provisions of the Agreement or of its right to enforce and/or implement them.
